Can I use the different generation Networx Gateways mixed in a single system?
Yes, you can use every type of Gateway in a single system concurrently with other Gateways, with some limitations.
- USB Gateways (e.g., AL-IME-USB Portable Gateway) cannot connect to any Expander (AL-IME2-EXP)
- 'Generation 3' Gateways (e.g., AL-IM3-80211, AL-IM3-POE) require DL-Windows v5.5.4 and later
Note: For MVP systems, you must use MVP model gateways (MVP-IM3-80211 or MVP-IM3-POE) or an AL-IM3 series Gateway updated to v6.51 or later firmware.
